Sarpedon inspired by Greek Mythology this narrative shows Perseus on his journey along the Road to Sarpedon in search of Medusa. Little does he know that he is travelling through an Isle that is alive with her snakes that are already trying to encircle him. Medusa's expression however shows fear and foreboding and makes her a sympathetic figure in this piece. On the center left an image of the future Portia alive well past her years looking back at the Gods of history.
